creating a good painting is an extra bonus." ...Jack Nolan Jack Nolan is a plein air artist who always has a sketchbook handy. He enjoys the outdoor painting experience as well studio sessions and takes special pleasure in helping others to produce successful images from photos, sketches or painting on location. Recent trips have resulted in works from Venice, Tuscany. New England and Maryland. Jack particularly enjoys many Florida locales where he sketches the landscapes and architecture of Sarasota, Longboat Key, Cortez Village and other historic places where he captures the nostalgic feeling of "Old Florida". Click here for a sampling of his work. Jack teaches a weekly class for the Ringling College of Art and Design's Longboat Key Center. He has demonstrated for the Florida Watercolor Society and gives workshops at numerous Art Centers and art suppliers including ArtCenter Manatee and Keeton's Office and Art Supply. Much of his work is available in Giclee form on archival watercolor paper or on canvas. Several recent original works are on watercolor canvas which can be framed without glass protection. |
